  1. Hello Claudio,

I just came across your ultimate breadboard and I think your work is fantastic!

I am wondering what you do when you’re not being the amateur engineer. Where did your interest in electronics come from? The reason I ask is because I’m a university student right now and I am trying to decide which field I should get my degree in. It would be great to hear about your experiences as I try to refine my interests to decide which program to enrol in. I appreciate any comments you may have, and would like to thank you for taking the time to reply.

    Cheers from Canada,

    • Well, I started an apprenticeship to become a computer technician about 11 years ago. At that time I began to visit LAN-parties and case-modding was a big thing back then. Playing a lot of C&C Red Alert we all loved the Tesla coil(on the end I built one 🙂 and I was bent on making one. Also star trek played a role. So over time I made a lot of blinking lights for my PC-case and I had not much money. So building hv-converters for ccfls and audio sensitive LED stuff got me into this. My interest grew over time and I really started out about 5 years ago when I was at the Chaos Communication Camp 2007 where I got my first arduino. The camp was so inspiring, that I decided to become and electronics engineer.
At the moment I am working as a graphic designer and attend evening college to open up my way to university and study electrical engineering.

So this is the short version of my story, hope It helps!

Best regards and good luck with your studies!
